Nah, it was probably history. Though I only really liked English by the end of school.

I don't think so. I think I hated English the most because of having papers to write. I was equally good in all classes though.

no, english. mostly because literature was generally a shit course, the "classics" were complete crap and i hate all forms of poetry and the analysis they insist on doing with it. i also remember shit all from grammar courses, didn't really lean to write well until highschool.

I was held back in remedial classes before dropping out due to a panic attack. When I started college, I felt the feeling coming again in my Survey of Mathematics class, and dropped it. I found out later in therapy that I had math dyslexia.

So... the answer is yes

It didn't start out that way, but it definitely ended up that way.

I hated English too though. Not for the writing, but being forced to share what I wrote to get a passing grade.

Yes. I recognized it was important, but it just wasn't any fun. History and communication arts clases had stories to them. Biology was learning about life. Math was just...math. I had similar issues with chemistry. It was just too micro for me.

Yes. Im good at mental math, but the teachers wouldnt give me any credit if I didnt show my work. Once we got to Algebra nothing ever made sense to me again. I hate how precise math is. Even if you do follow the formula perfectly but you accidentally made one small mistake with your calculations the entire thing is wrong.

Thats why English was always my favorite subject. Reading is fun and you can interpret the texts however you want as long as youre able to explain your reasoning. Plus online Cliffnotes and the teachers outright telling you the interpretation that they like in class made it easy to ace tests and essays

Math had it's ups and downs, depending on the teacher/lesson. Was one of the better klasses in my 3rd year of middle school.

But looking at the years overall, Health was konsistantly the worst. Not sure if I ever passed that shit. Gym was always better. I think the only time I had reason to dread gym was during swimming lessons in fucking January.

I'm pretty good in math. Good enough that it was my best subject in Middle and HS.

History and English/Literature were the WORST.

Mainly because I felt they were redundant.

They were both basically just year long exercises in reading comprehension, only difference was one dealt in Fiction, the other Non-Fiction.

I was a really good student, but Middle and High School was SO boring. Everything past 6th grade is basically re-teaching everything you learned in K-6th, but with more minute details added.

Yeah math is just a bunch of number-moving and not much else. But I liked the courses like Statistics where you would at least learn how to spot deceptive practices in the real world.

I found the opposite to be true. In math, if you followed sound logic and showed your work which you should be able to do if you know what you're doing, it would be right. It's very clear cut on whether you get points for something. English on the other hand was hypocritical as fuck. They'll tell you it's subjective, but then if your opinion is different from the teacher, they'll mark it wrong.

As for the topic, math was my favorite subject after science. Least favorite subject was social studies because it was just memorization. I prefer classes where you learn a few concepts and then can apply it to a variety of different problems.

Fucking hated English class. I did well in it, but I hated reading the assigned books and then writing papers on bullshit like What did the author feel while he was writing this?

Yes. I have ADHD and wasn't diagnosed until I was almost 30, so math classes really put me through the wringer after basic arithmetic level. Things were made way worse when I was assaulted by my math teacher in 6th grade. I occasionally try to find online material to better understand it but I think that window of opportunity closed a very long time ago.

#1 Any computer class
Close second, any science class
third, any math class.

Most disliked, any language class... like FRENCH.

I prefer theory that produces something useful, over memorization/repetition of trivia.

theory > trivia
