Still has a relatively active community on PC. Its just that versus tends to get a little hardcore sometimes as the game has been out for a long time. Still really fun though

This. The only reason to buy 1 is to play in 1's gameplay style. The only reason I feel one would want to play in 1's gameplay style these days is player corpse ragdolls.

According to the upload date of this video, I was with that group 8 years ago. I think my stint only lasted a couple months though if that.

On topic, I prefer L4D2 over B4B. I did the beta for B4B and didn't like it. Probably just need to give it another chance though. I disliked L4D2 the first time I played it, but randomly tried it again months later and fell in love with it.

Rarely.

There was a week a few months ago where I got my discord server to play a bunch of versus. It was still really fun. But people kinda move on from the flavor of the week quickly there Ive found. Ill definitely try to get it going again in the future maybe because I always feel like I could jump back into that game again in the future.

Ive played Back 4 Blood and its fine. But its PvP is garbage and the PvE leaves a lot to be desired. They should have copied more from L4D like making each special ridden more distinct.

I'm pretty sure the L4D2 community is where you go after you die if you've killed at least a village worth of people or poisoned a water supply or something.

The game goes on sale for $2, so its not just the hardcores that play the game

Still a much better experience not playing versus with randoms tho
