Loool no. The gameplay in Fates shits all over 3 Houses where there's no strategy involved and they continued with the stupid and completely pointless dumbing down of the gameplay they started with Echoes.

It's one of the best ones. I've played most of them, and I would rank 3h either Second or Third

Three Houses is pretty good, though the Monastery and White Clouds (Part 1) make replaying it a huge pain. Plus, it has the problem of Crimson Flower being an obvious last-minute add and Silver Snow and Verdant Wind being basically the same.

Still, it's really good. Definitely way better than Fates, but the huge variance in your potential party means that you don't get a lot of the same kind of tight map-designs that characterized earlier entries(pre-Awakening, really) with fixed rosters.

Better than the 3DS and GC games, dogshit compared to the GBA/SNES games. At least from a strategy rpg standpoint.

It honestly feels like a Persona compare to SMT situation tho so it's hard to call

It's more story heavy, which is a bit of a turn off for me.

I've only played localized releases and it's pretty good. I like the Tellius games the most by a lot though. I wish they put all of their energy into one route instead of this "choose your destiny" shit because they're all basically the same anyway. I think having set promotions or at MOST dual promotions like sacred stones is the way to go. I don't like how basically every character in this game is interchangeable because any character can become any class. I prefer the uniqueness/utility specific characters can provide.
