I care way more about gameplay than good graphics. If more resources went into gameplay and story writing I would have more fun playing games. (Cough Tales of Arise cough)

1. When you start a game, and they give you access to a shop.

2. In the shop is a weapon that's better than your default gear, and you can afford it.

3. That same weapon is literally one of the first free treasure chests you get.

Games ported from console to PC sometimes don't have analog movement for your analog sticks, even though you're playing on a gamepad still, and treat the stick like its mapped to WASD instead of being an analog stick. Not quite as much a problem in very recent years

Cutscene in the beginning of the game (not the one before main menu screen but after pressing start). I just want to test controls first in the beginning. Sometimes i skip the opening cutscene so i can quickly test controls and then restart the game to watch the opening cutscene.

Sometimes the opening cutscene is unskippable like for Wario Land 2 for gameboy colour. I was really annoyed by that. I just wanted to find out how Wario's controls felt compared to Wario Land 3.

When it's not clear what items are just meant to be sold and what aren't. Also, when it is made clear but side quests at some point require some of those items anyway.

This is a really good one. I was playing one of the older Armored Core games that started on New Game and if you pressed it on accident there's no way to back out to the main menu without doing the tutorial mission or else just restarting the console. Absolutely aggravating.

I change my mind, the most annoying thing is loud as fuck menu music on PC games. I have to take my headphones off when I load in to a lot of games because it's basically like a banshee going apeshit in my ear hole.

I haven't seen this in modern games at all, but back in the day it really bothered me when a game kept track of how many times you saved. It always felt like the game was being needlessly passive-aggressive about how many times you had to save to beat the game.

Another thing that bothers me more recently as someone who has shit to do outside the game is when you pause the game, but the in-game playtime is still counting up and there's no way to fully pause the game to stop the playtime from counting up while not actually playing.

AND ANOTHER THING is when a forced tutorial forces you to use resources in a way that you don't want to use them yet. No Fire Emblem, I don't want to promote Wallace in Lyn Mode. No Persona 5, I don't want to fuse anything when I haven't had a chance to register my Personas yet!
