It's not about that, it's about making fun of the media for it. It's stupid but I've heard people say fuck Joe Biden and let's go Brandon so I don't really think it's a self censorship thing.

I've always found that when spending time with a group of people, I prefer actual 'in the moment' wit as opposed to constant repetition of inside jokes and references - that goes for all political 'sides'. Sure the initial instance was pretty damn funny, but repeating it ad hoc and chanting it? Leftists were pretty annoying with the "Drumpf" stuff, and Seth Myers got really stale with his Trump hair/weight jokes. idk just seems really stale and played out at this point.
