All in favor that judges may only hold office for under 10 years.



I think that 10 years is enough for stability and longer terms mean dead weight.

each branch of government, at each level, should have a 12 year term limit. legislative shares a clock. so, you can do 12 years in the state senate, then 12 years as governor, then 12 in the federal house and 12 as president, but no more 24 term Representatives. SC judges get one, 12 year term, but each president gets exactly one confirmation, regardless of how many terms he gets, with a provision to keep a minimum number serving in case of untimely death or resignations.

there are probably some flaws in there, but i think it's a good place to start a conversation.
