Apparently my brother is bisexual. He didn't exactly come out per se but he mentioned it yesterday casually in a conversation. He had said it years ago, but was going through some relationship stuff and had a mental condition that at the time was undiagnosed, so it wasn't really clear whether or not he was serious, but apparently he was because he brought it up again yesterday.

I was taken aback but didn't really react, and later on after we were as Harpie says "toasted" (like very much so lol), there was a John Wick movie on with a nonbinary character and actor, so I sort of revisited the conversation to talk about said actor's career and also mentioned to my brother that I identify as nonbinary as well, though leaning closer to my "assigned" gender than fully neutral territory, but in a similar fashion to the situation with my brother, as he did mention being bi before but never really brought it up again, which is basically the same thing I did with my own status (in regard to telling other family members). We were wasted so I don't remember much of the conversations, but I know it was a good conversation.

My parents actually kind of gave me a bit of a riot act because they thought I had been drinking heavily during and before the family function we went to, but I actually had less than I usually do and I was not so much drunk as "toasted" which put me in a much more social mood than I would usually be in, so yes I was acting different than usual but I was just more open and trying to talk to people more than I otherwise would be. They were like "you didn't seem like yourself" and I was like "yeah because 'myself' would have been standing in some corner and not interacting all that much." Plus I was mindful and self-aware so I wasn't like rambling on and making an ass of myself or anything. I was reading the room.

I actually talked to an uncle that I hadn't talked to in several years (he supported trump in 2016 and we just kinda avoided each other at the last few family gatherings). It wasn't a long conversation and he initiated it, but I was happy to engage and keep politics out of it. In fact politics never were brought up all night as far as I know, and as angry and judgmental as I am politically, I appreciated that and actively decided to not bring up such things myself. Apparently my mother told my uncle that I had mentioned that I appreciated that conversation and he felt the same way, so that's awesome. There had never been any animosity between us but I think there was a certain mutual political understanding that meant it was better we avoid each other, so I'm glad I was mentally in a place where I wanted to overlook that and just say fuck it let's be positive.

It was a really good family holiday visit, and the first one where my brother was there and I was too (it had been over a decade since we both were able to make it to the same one lol. Before covid, I usually couldn't attend because of work and my brother was not always up for it). The only down side was my parents thinking I was drunk as fuck the whole time which concerned them, though I was not. I paced myself. It was the other thing that I was under the influence of >_> which influenced my personality and in a good way, just an out of character good way. My parents are boomers though and it's legal in our state.

Also holy shit I just noticed how long this was and I wall of texted it. Feel free to use discretion and split this up into proper paragraphs, which I don't really have the patience to do lol.

Overall that seems like a really positive family reunion. Im glad it went so well; I wish I could have that

I'm watching football lol. You enjoy sports right, Harpie? >_>. Anyway I hadn't cared this year because the Patriots got off to a shitty start and were 2-4 so I was like "whatever. They suck. This is what happens without Tom Brady." and uninvested. Now they are leading the division and playing the Bills tonight and just took an 8-0 lead. It's a bit annoying because I do like the Bills also and my brother in law is from Buffalo so I do typically root for them as a secondary team so it sucks when the Patriots play them which is a lot since they are in the same division. Anyway, holy fuck it is windy as shit around here and that's affecting the game and also I can hear wind outside where I am and back yard furniture was blowing around and making a racket. I really hope I don't lose power tonight O_O

I wish I did but I find watching paint dry to be more entertaining than most sports. Hopefully if your power goes out Tom Brady can swoop in and save you

lmao Tom Brady would not save me. He sucks and went to a shitty market. Fuck florida lol. Bill Bellichick (Patriots' coach) could potentially save me but I dunno. He's kind of a dick too. Doesn't matter though. Wind seems to have died down and power remained on yay ^_^ so I think I am in the clear.

But anyway, fun story about Bill Bellichick... he got a business near me full-on cancelled once. The owner deserved it. The place was this convenience store on my street. I lived near a college and Bellichick's daughter was a student there. She shopped at this place and accidentally left her credit card there. The idiot sketchy owner went and fraudulently ordered thousands of dollars worth of stuff.

Bellichick and daughter contacted authorities and the owner and his family shut the business down and left the area and probably went bankrupt or some shit. The owner had a reputation of being a creep even before that, but thousands of dollars in credit card fraud isn't something that can just be casually dismissed, and if he felt the need to even do that in the first place, he had probably been struggling for a while beforehand otherwise he wouldn't have taken that risk. The building is now a picture framing place.

Good point, it's just one of those things. I escape from feeling like that but it isn't ideal, and if I am really feeling that way, I'm usually not even here because I can't deal with this place in that state, but at least if I'm jovial, that's something. I'm at least in a happy mood even if I'm hurting overall O_O

My skyrim house has a fish hatchery but I have to shout into the water to get salmon. I often forget the hatchery is there because it's like on a lake behind the house and usually when I go back home, it's just to unload stuff. I have spent a stupid amount of time just decorating though lol. My dining room table has no food or plates or silverware anymore but I made it a point to have 1 of every single type of alcohol in the game, so there are like over a dozen booze bottles just sitting there >_> and sometimes I have to reset one because one of my adopted kids or my bard knocked a bottle over.

I have spent the last four months volunteering with a non-profit to rebuild houses destroyed by natural disasters. Ive decided that this is what I want to keep doing, and today I was hired to be a construction site supervisor for said non-profit. The job starts in January and is 2300 miles away. I have nowhere to go until then and because I stayed way longer as a volunteer than I initially intended I dont have enough money left to pay for the gas to get there. I dont know what Im going to do and may be in a real bad homeless situation in a few days. I am feeling a very strange mixture of elation and dread right now.

Nah, it's only immoral imo if you're buying new. Secondhand is better than throwing it in the trash and filling up landfills. People should use their old furs and not waste them at the very least
