I feel like a FFIV DS style remake would be lazy and it would only really be intriguing if it were done in the style of that old school fan style project, or FFVIIR. But knowing that we likely wouldn't get it for 10 years if they tried to remake it in the latter style, and the game is already such a fantastic experience as it is, I just don't know what the point would be.
