Current Events > I finally got to play Halo Infinite for the first time

Its the first time Ive really dove into a Halo MP surprisingly. My God its so fun. It exceeded my expectations. Was the old Halo games as fun as this? If so I missed out. I honestly didnt expect the old school style of grabbing guns off the walls to really be that fun but Im pleasantly surprised. It is much better than CoD Vanguard (Bad) and Battlefield 2042 (Buggy mess)

Leveling up the Battle Pass is absolute dogshit though. Good lord what an awful idea on that. Its my only complaint so far. Everything else is great

Halo 3 was probably the best mp in the series, including Infinite so far. 2 was really great as well but that might just be nostalgia, my first online shooter type shit. Infinite is amazing though. Once they fix the progression and add some more maps this will definitely be the shooter of the year. Tho thats a low bar that Infinite leaps over.

I liked it, but was pissed I was thrown into a 2v5 game, so I stopped playing for a couple days. Some games 2v5 is possible, Halo isn't one of them

Yea. I had some positives and negatives about it and I think I like 4v4 better. It was still great. People dominating in a jet farming is wasnt fun. However, having our team slowly take space until we grab the flag, then having our entire team clearly try to escort the guy back was truly amazing. I dont think Ive ever seen that type of real obvious teamwork on that scale. Sure BF ha ms strong teamwork too but that always felt limited to squads unlike in Halo.

In fact, Halo players tend to be much more teamwork focused than any other FPS game Ive played. Ive never seen players be so willing to play the objective when they know they cant shoot back. Especially something like Oddball. You would think no one would play the objective and play for kills but that is the opposite. The Halo community just seems great

Hell yeah. Oddball is the most hit or miss one too, but people will pick it up when push comes to shove. Some rounds you're actually fighting your teammates for the ball lol I just played the three hill one (I forget what it's called, Control or something) in Big Team Battle and it was intense. Probably the most intense game I've played in an FPS in years. Just constant push and pull and you felt like you were actually battling for the win. Fun stuff.

I think after a few more weeks people will really be playing the objective. I actually like not having playlists and hope whenever they add them they keep it diverse.

Thats all my group has played lol. They dont really play games for fun anymore. We just play tournaments and stuff

Awesome game. The theater has some bugs that need fixing and the aiming is pretty difficult at times. Either way i like it. Gonna play some tomorrow.
