Im guessing it can beat Kong on water easily with all the water magic it does. Not sure if it can beat Godzilla since Godzilla kinda lives in water. Could be a close fight.

Dragon can also fly. So land fight could also be interesting.

Godzilla once fought a super team comprised of the Avengers and the Fantastic Four to a draw.

Good thing they didn't beat him.

If you haven't seen Shin Godzilla... It's the most respectable GZ's been since maybe '81.......

That's the only Godzilla movie I haven't seen. I'd like to see it. I've just never had the chance.

The dragon couldnt even beat some California man with jewelry. Kong and Godzilla would destroy it.

For example: every Godzilla. But geez, at least rent it if you can. Show some love if you can put your money where your heartis.

It's good, it's not a Godzilla movie as that thing doesn't work as the big G cause of how different it is and would work best as a fucked up clone, the movie is a great commentary on Japanese customs regarding how they approach situations like this.

I've spent hundreds on the old G over the years. I never purchased a Blu-Ray player and I don't like to pay or digital unless I'm paying for a streaming service. Shin Godzilla was the one film (aside from Godzilla 1985) that was never released on DVD. I'm sure I'll see it eventually.

It wasn't really a draw. Even Thor couldn't faze him that badly. He kinda just got bored and left. Like a grizzly bear tearing apart a beehive.

Giving credit where it is due,

I want to see that in a Disney/Legendary Pictures crossover. And, yes, Chris Helmsworth has to speak that line verbatim.

I do have to admit, seeing that panel again, it's less "Thor hit Godzilla with the worst blow he's been dealt" and more "Godzilla stepped on a Lego."

I hear his origin in that one is a little weird, but they've had issues with that before. In GMK, he was a demon comprised of the souls of dead soldiers - or something like that.

They made Godz look like a real naer-do-well there

Didn't they?

Watch Shin Godzilla. Hidekki Anno directed it. The Evangelion guy. Rent it digital. Then make the call after you see it.

Shin > Showa

Standalone

Ooh, please don't say that.

If you try and pit it against the original Godzilla, you're putting it up against three decades of nostalgia and a movie I've seen on the silver screen.

I'd rather watch it on its own merits than put it in impossible situation.

I'm sure I will rent it digital at some point. I just don't know when.

The movie will age well, but it's gonna hit that awkward phase. I'd do it while their proto-Godzilla is still impressive. Kong vs already kinda kicks its butt graphically.

You will love that movie
