Sacrifice the one (living) thing you love the most to fulfill your most coveted desire?

Could you?

I dont know. Id need to truly be in that situation to know what id really do.

And I dont even know what it is I truly desire. If the thing I love the most are my family and all I want is for them is to live long truly happy lives idk how that works.

Id kill myself for it though

If it's a 'kill-one-to-save-many' situation, probably yes.

While we're on the subject, I'd be pretty curious to see the longterm effects of the Thanos Snap, assuming the Snap would kill half of all sentient life.
There are plenty of videos covering the effects of the Thanos Snap, but they all think they're being clever by assuming half of all lifeforms would be killed, so that they can make the easiest what-if video ever (since any idiot can figure out that this would mess up the ecosystems, thus ruining life for everyone).

There isn't anything that I want badly enough to kill someone over.

Isn't there a paradox here? If what he wants most is the stones doesn't he love the stones more than anything?

I couldn't, but that's only because I don't love anyone. I guess I could get a girlfriend, date her for a few weeks, then sacrifice her in the hopes that it works. Since it's not the person you love the most, but rather it's anyone you truly love. Doesn't have to be #1.

Doesn't have to be the one he loves the most. Also it's a living creature that has to be loved. So he can simultaneously love/covet the stones the most, but still have a living being that he loves the most.

So if he coveted and loved a living creature the most would he have to kill it?

I don't think I could simply because I have no such feelings about any living thing. I mean I'm the kind of person who would snap 100% of the world if I had such power.

I've got thirty-seven cents and the smaller half of a bacon PBJ.

Is that enough?
