Completely agree.

Hell, I ask for advice, but often they say something I already tried. (didn't work)

Then they sometimes (rarely but) go "Well if you didn't want advice then why'd you ask for it!"

It's like some people they want you to do exactly what they said or you've insulted them somehow.

Some people just don't understand what advice is. By giving advice, you are advising someone, that's what it means, and the person you are advising still has final say over their own actions. It's more of a suggestion.

Someone who asks for advice is not asking for orders as if you're a military captain.

Truly.

Just because I want a potential new perspective on something, doesn't mean I don't already have one of my own. I do usually add advice, or let it sway my actions a BIT, but yeah... advice should always be seen as just a suggestion and not an order.
