That's what they are supposed to do, but apparently they've been corrupted by the "everything is political" types. Most institutions stray from their intended mission if they survive long enough, plenty become political one way or another when they shouldn't be.

For example the ACLU is another institution suffering from left-wing brain rot. For decades they were principled defenders of civil rights, and the right hated them for opposing their efforts to control people's lives. So they attracted more left leaning employees, and now they have abandoned defense of civil rights for defense of left wing agendas of the day, literally arguing against free speech rights in court, dumping all defense of the second amendment, etc.

How does the ACLU control Webster's? I think you need to go back to elementary school.

We could reduce the burden on the healthcare system if anti-vaxxers did the logically consistent thing and never took medicine or visited a doctor ever again for the rest of their lives.

I would never even look in a doctor's direction again if I thought they were lying or stupid about COVID vaccines, but I guess most people can live with being hypocrites.

There is no logical reason to make exceptions about certain types of vaccines. It's kind of like saying you can't be a bigot if you only hate certain races or sexes.

99% of people making these distinctions are no more educated on COVID vaccines than they are on other vaccines. They are pulling concerns from their asses based on arguments that bring other vaccines or medicine into question and show how little they actually know. They are generally making emotional and political arguments that they were told to make by the media.

If you want to get into an hour's long philosophical debate about exactly what the punishments for mandate violations should be that's a matter of opinion. That the mandate should exist at all isn't opinion. Vaccines fail at their intended purpose unless enough people are inoculated.

I'm not against people getting arrested. Anybody who breaks a law should get arrested, this isn't anything new. Besides, what is a few crybabies in jail if it literally saves the lives of rest of the country?

VACCINES ARE SAFE, doesn't matter which one, doesn't matter "but this one's newer" horseshit. They protect you from infection, they protect you from spreading it, and there is LITERALLY NO RISK.
