Probably not, no. It's gonna come down to relative strength and body composition, which is usually in favour of men. Lots of assumptions here.

Also the taller you are at the same weight, the less muscle you're going to have relative to your lean body mass.

Yeah it comes down to training, most people dont have any formal or otherwise. Which is why most street fights you see end in a lucky haymaker or just devolve into a slap fight/awkward grappling. If shes a trained martial artist you could reverse the heights and shed still have the guy down in seconds.

The 6fter will have longer reach. And punching the 5ft6's head would be a good height for her. So if its a stand up match the woman has good chance of winning.

If its a ground and pound wrestling fight. The man with shorter limbs probably more suitable.

And in my experience doing physical labor with a girl with the same height difference, the answer to the topic would be a resounding yes. Reach doesn't make up for strength.

Dude should have a very significant strength advantage here. He tackles her and he's pretty much won this fight. If he's willing to tank a punch or two to get in closer and hit her, he wins. Dude has this 9/10 times.

We are talking about a short dude and a tall woman. No other stipulations were included so we're to assume these are just people off the street.

A lot of unknown many factors..

Do they know how to fight?
fitness level?
What's the muscle mass for both?

Chances are that dude is stronger/has more muscle than the girl at equal weight at 170lbs if they are both untrained/equal level.

but on average men tend to be physically stronger than the average woman so most men tend to have the upper hand when fighting a woman
so its not impossible for her to win this fight its just the odds are against her

Not unless she has fight training, great technique, and he doesn't. An average male has roughly 3x the punch power of an average female.

Really depends on the physical shape of both of them. If the guy is scrawny sure or if the woman is like a strength trainer. The average 5'6" guy vs. the average 6'0" girl is going to the guy most of the time.

she aint doing shit to a male pro athlete with anywhere from 70-200lbs on her. Especially cause she isnt getting a head and arm through on a dude a foot taller either.

my sister once beat a man in what barely qualified as a fight
she was like 20 at the time
she didnt know who this guy was but she was always pretty tough
anyway this guy just walked up behind her and smashed a beer bottle across the back of her head.
she turned him down and knocked him down with one punch which is the most impressive story she has going for her

but that was like 19 years ago and she got out of shape since then so its not something i think she could repeat
