My current one is not only 5 years old but it has survived some weird buildings. The apartment before this one did not let me in the basement and the light on the battery backup showing a tap on the electric line was on.
My plan is to take advantage of Black Friday to get a good one. Recommendations. I like to have my electronics such as gaming consoles and routers on the backup during updates and of course gaming consoles during boss fights.
