I didn't follow you here. I posted in this topic because I entered it.

But do continue on what it takes to be a reasonable person when there's people out there that use dead loved ones in an argument in order to, to use your own words, "demand satisfaction".
Oh it's you.

This is what you do now? Create new accounts to stalk people who block you?

Well, you've certainly, if nothing else, got me to hit "fuck that".

I really don't get why decision makers don't just realise that the complainers they're dealing with are like that weirdo making noises and shouting repent motherfucker. People a few years ago would have just mocked them for how pathetic they are and moved on.

I hate this video.

One this shit always happens. Dude goes to protest to incite a reaction from someone then gets the reaction he's looking for and acts like a victim.

Then you get the replies like the ones here that are like "SEE VIOLENCE ON THE LEFT BLAH BLAH BLAH"

I grew up with Dave. He speaks to me as a black man more than he speaks to that dude. Yet I can understand why what he said is problematic to some people.

Wait, the guy with the sign was yelling "He's got a weapon." It might have been started by his buddy who broke the sign, though, hard to tell.
I think the first guy was trying to incite violence and then the sign holder was saying it sarcastically because of how ridiculous it was

Probably because they care about showing stuff people actually want to watch on a dying medium so they all don't lose their jobs.

"The media" isn't some huge conspiracy, it just exists like anything else in capitalism.

He clearly is a victim though. Snowflakes can't handle the truth and stand that he is challenging their beliefs the way he should, through peaceful protest, so they lashed out like violent animals and crazied loons.

No, he was there with the intent to troll them. He got the reaction he wanted but trying to provoke people then facing consequences doesn't make you a victim

This is the classic case of provoking someone into a reaction. Yes, the people who responded are absolutely responsible for their own actions, but it doesn't absolve a person who provoked them as completely harmless.

And yes, I believe that wading into the middle of a protest with a sign counter-protesting is an act of provocation. This is why protests and counter-protests are separated in practice.

And further it speaks to Netflix's lack of commitment to security for its employees. They knew the walkout was happening and while the protest appeared to take place on public ground outside the building, I would think they'd want to take steps to make sure altercations don't happen, for their own optics, if nothing else.

Everyone should listen to Cyric on this, he's a trustworthy source on the matter.

Remember when Cyric was provoked into bringing up another person's dead girlfriend because they said some things he didn't like?

This is a subject Cyric is VERY accustomed to, and one that should not be argued, as Cyric might do something similar if you provoke him.

There's no way they lost money on this lol. Can you back up that statement?

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/newsletters/2021-10-17/dave-chappelle-s-special-cost-more-than-squid-game

The specials score less well when you look at efficiency score, which measures a shows value over its cost. The special had an impact value of $19.4 million and an efficiency score of 0.8X. An efficiency score of 1x means that a show generated about as much viewership as it cost. Anything above 1x means a show was efficient. Anything below that means it was not.

Chappelles special scored less than 1x, while Bo Burnhams Inside scored a 2.8x. Based on these measurements, Netflix got better results from Burnham than from Chappelle, some employees believe.

Yet Burnhams efficiency score is so strong because his special only cost $3.8 million to produce. Chappelle, perhaps the biggest stand-up on the planet, commanded five times more. (Chappelles pay on these specials has never been a big secret.)

The loss largely comes from the fact that they had to pay Chappelle way too much. If he wasn't so expensive the subscription gain would've compensated the cost, but they were popping $24 million per show.
