Had a tall task undoing the damage Apollo Justice did and largely succeeded. 4 of the 6 cases are excellent. Blackquill is the best character they've introduced post-AJ, and Athena was a welcome addition, too.

Kind of clunky honestly. The "dark age of the law" is actually a less interesting idea than what was going on in Apollo Justice, even if that game is way worse story-wise. I think the fact that the game is told out of order hurts more than helps. Still a solid 7.

You might be confused about some things if you skip it, so I'd at least look up a summary first if you'd rather not play it.

Cases 1 and especially 2 are agonizing to get through on replays but 3, 4, 5 and the DLC cases are just too damn good.

Simon Blackquill is also easily the best prosecutor in the series apart from Edgeworth but I imagine this is also the consensus.

I think Blackquill is good, but I also think it's a case of "trying too hard" in places. Leon's right though that he's at least third, given his competition.
