I feel like we will never be totally free of religion. I wouldn't be surprised if sometime in the next thousand years, a new major faith emerges. Maybe connected to Judeo Christian, like a new supposed prophet. Or maybe something totally new. Or maybe we will meet aliens who will spread their faiths to earth. It's interesting to think about.

You know how older religions were once practiced devoutly, but eventually they became accepted as myths that we can openly mock and everyone just moved on to other newer religions that are now sacred?

Yeah, I bet that keeps happening until our species goes extinct.
