But like if I know I will need cash I'll get it beforehand at my own bank. It is sort of an unlikely amount, but the banks have programs In place to look for ATM withdrawal that are not multiples of $5, as that is the queue to recognize an ATM fee. If it shows you took out $63, then you likely took out $60 and the fee is $3, so that is what they reimburse you. If there is a $5 ATM fee, the programming tends to not recognize it as a fee. If you call the bank, theyll reverse it right away, but it can sometimes slip through the cracks.
