I dont care if they feel good or bad after thry get their revenge but if they dont kill the person and pull some moral high horse "im better than you!" .....just miss me with that garbage.

Spoil any movie or game where this happens in it. I watched your damn revenge story to watch you get revenge, not wimp out.

Octopath has a revenge story. It woulda been pretty good if the revenge seeker didn't spend the last chapter of her story hesitating just cuz she used to be in love with her target. If her final chapter had just been a roaring rampage of revenge and relentless siege on the target's hideout, it coulda been rad as hell. She does actually murder the dude in the end, but it's more subdued and afterwards she's left feeling empty. Especially disappointing because their first chapter is a really satisfying revenge story by itself.

Imo: the person deserves to die for what horrendous thing they did. Dealing with having hunted them down and killing them are for the person to cope with.

I get the moral and stuff, but I do wish more stories would just make the character extremely satisfied that they pulled off their horrific act of revenge and retire to live happily ever after.
