I tried it and started a new character months ago and it has the most boring starter experience I've seen. It's really appalling how bad it is with extremely boring easy combat and an absolutely AWFUL main story quest, and none of this gets better for dozens and dozens of hours. The MSQ used to be even worse if you can believe it - they removed several filler fed-ex tier quests, but there's still plenty a decent amount of just garbage. E: On the main topic re NW, it doesn't look stellar unless you're into grinding gathering-crafting/life-skills a la Runescape with a combat system alongside a...I dunno, sort of elder scrolls online combat thingy. You have quests and a story and levels, but you also spend a lot of time chopping trees and skinning animals.
