Abuse and harassment of any kind are not permitted on GameFAQs. This includes insults or other personal attacks involving any person's race, creed, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression, age, height, weight, physical or mental ability, veteran status, military obligations, and marital status.
Spamming
Unsolicited commercial or personal advertising of any type is not permitted on GameFAQs. This includes promoting video channels, offering items for sale, and asking for donations of promotional codes, money, or premium in-game items. Offering trades of freely obtained in-game items or assets is generally allowed, although it may be restricted to a specific area on the site reserved for that game (a "trading board").
Offensive Material
Posting offensive content is not permitted on GameFAQs. This includes linking to or posting content containing sexually explicit material, promoting the sexualization of minors, explicitly promoting terrorism or hate speech, and images or video of real-world violence.
Unmarked Spoilers
Posting unmarked spoilers is not permitted on GameFAQs. On forums, significant plot reveals should never be placed in the title of a topic, should always be hidden with the spoiler tag in messages, and should not spoil things out-of-context without a clear warning. When creating a question for Q&A, the spoiler flag should always be used when asking a question that involves plot details.
Off-Topic
Random discussion on topical forums and across all of Q&A is not permitted on GameFAQs. On forums that revolve around specific video games or other special interests, the title and first post of a new topic should relate to the subject at hand.
Trolling
Posting messages intended to cause a negative reaction from other users is not permitted on GameFAQs. This includes topics and messages that deliberately provoke other users by being inflammatory, irrelevant, misleading, offensive, or disruptive.
