I suck at it, but its fun figuring out strategies for the bosses. Got any tips for me to git gud?

I like that they show you a progress bar when you die. I'm not sure I could have pushed through without that extra bit of motivation

I'm still pretty salty that I could never make it past King Dice. It seemed like every boss before him allowed for variance in play style, but if you hadn't nailed the art of parrying when facing off against King Dice - which I absolutely sucked at despite several attempts to better myself - you could go eat shit. Add on the fact that you have to face a gauntlet of sub-bosses before you can even get to the man himself and I just couldn't maintain the patience necessary to power through it.

I've never had any problems with any Cuphead boss on any difficulty.

(...because I've never bothered to play it.)

Tough game. It's more about learning to duck, dodge, dive, dip, and dodge.

Not a whole lot of tips to offer, it's all about just learning the bosses and execution

Don't discount any of the weapons, each of them has come in handy more than once for me. They all have their uses

The parry for king dice (I assume you mean the cards part) feels like it has different hit boxes than the rest of the game tbh. It just takes practice, but having to run the gauntlet for every fail is brutal. Roll the dice so that you always fight the easiest bosses so you can practice more often. Grab the extra lives as well, and I'd recommend the teleport dash so you can dodge through some attacks. Fwiw, the next boss is harder imo

Play practice on everything. You can advance to the other islands, just not the end. Play through this way so you can get coins, buy upgrades. Thrn go back and do everything again in normal. With more weapons and stuff available, you have more strategic options. You will be able to use the alternate weapon for the plane against the blimp boss for example.

Also roundabout is a very versatile weapon and does good damage too.

Charge is amazing against pirate guy (roundabout for final form). With that weapon combo, you can take him out in under a minute easily.

Take advantage of long transformation animations on bosses. They are still taking damage (not immune while transforming)

I've beaten everything except the Devil on Hard. My lowest death run was 19 deaths to beat the entire game. I've done a p-shooter-only run.

You want the chaser, the heart containers (when attempting to git gud, later on you wont use them when you never get hit), the roundabout and the lobber.

If she uses the orb near the top of the screen, you can parry spam on it against the upper border. It sounds funny and is useful if you havent gotten the juggler's coin (also to build up power)

She is a great example of that transforming animation thing I mentioned. She takes forever in the final one and you can beat her final form really quickly, sometimes before she fully transforms.

100% essential to beating the game easily.

Also have weapon swap, lock, and super on the triggers/bumpers.

edit: dash is the most important and you want it on the easiest trigger to hit with your right hand.

I'm simultaneously surprised and not surprised how long it's been since the DLC was announced. But seeing how long the actual game took to come out (not to mention the changes it went through), it's actually kinda par for the course.

But hey look at it this way: you've still got plenty of time to beat and/or master the main game in the meantime if you're really struggling.

You can do it. I've seen people I had no faith in beat this game. You'll get easy boss patterns eventually.
