i only use 1 month subs occasionly so hopefully there is no 'only full year sub shit'

This is the case already. With the existing NES and SNES games, you're not actually buying them; you're accessing a Netflix-like service that allows you to play the entire available catalogue. Also because of this approach, a good number of popular third party titles are not available, since the owners of those games would rather sell them than essentially hand them out for free.

Expansion pack is such a weird term. That sounds like a one off purchase. Premium tier seems like a better term.

I've got a bit of a Switch backlog so I'll probably wait. Only ones I really want to play are Paper Mario and Pokemon Snap. Sega I'm covered for on many platforms.

But I hope this opens up the possibility of Gamecube and DS.

Some of the gamers out here would rather pay a lot up front than a little bit repeatedly.

No regrets about buying Atari, SNK, and Sega collections. Not going to fucking bother if it's a subscription.

the only thing they showed that was interesting to me at all were yoshis story, mario tennis and pokemon snap. all of which have emulation issues of one sort or another. the genesis selection is the same stuff thats been getting rereleased forever

still not enough to get me to pay it.

The Genesis games you can literally play right now in the Sega Genesis classics collection. With online multiplayer too
