Alberta ICUs are at 170% capacity, 88% if you include surge beds.

The triage protocol (which decides who will have access to life support) kicks in at 90% of surge beds.

Reminder: Your government could have stopped this at anytime, but they didnt. And they still havent.

Texas has about four times the ICU capacity of all of Canada, despite having a lower population than Canada itself.

The hell is going on?

I was in a hospital recently in a different province and I overheard the nurses saying that things were getting ultra bad. That they were far over capacity for ICU beds by tens of thousands and that the province was looking to get resources and staff from other provinces to help. The nurses outside Alberta don't want anything to do with this.

It's actually pretty easy.

1) "Are you here for a COVID-related illness?"
Yes -> go to 2
No -> admit

2) "Have you been vaccinated?"
Yes -> admit
No -> go to 3

3) "Are you in an age group that's not eligible for the vaccine?"
Yes -> admit
No -> go to 4

4) "Have you had your first dose of the vaccine, and are still waiting for enough time to elapse before getting your second?"
Yes -> admit if not nearing capacity limit or if the person has only recently become eligible for the vaccine, else turn away
No -> go to 5

5) "Do you have a legitimate medical reason, that is not based in misinformation or religion, as to why you cannot receive the vaccine?"
Yes -> admit
No -> turn away
"This is fact not misinformation! [insert blatant misinformation here]" -> jail
