Standing at 5'11, I sometimes wish I could just grow in inch to be an even 6 feet. Maybe its just me, but I can't help but feel like a lot of girls subconsciously judge you as "lower beta" if you aren't tall enough--6 feet or taller.

As far as I know, after your growth plates are closed, you cannot grow taller, but I heard Michael Jordan grew several inches during his NBA career, so it made me question what we really know about height growth, despite what current studies say.

Anyone here grow a few inches after 30?

I know someone that did, so it's not impossible, but exceedingly rare. I was always tall, but I grew like half an inch, and a bony plate on my brow, when I was ~22.

BTW: Low self esteem is a helluva drug. Its really just a perverse reverse pride and pride is one of humanitys worst conditions. Especially if its a thing like this where youre much taller than the average and youre still trippin about it.

if you're at least 5'8" and still hung up on your height i promise there are better things for you to pay attention to. i know, i know. we all have that 6'4" friend who does alright but we're 100% sure would be a virgin incel if he'd been 5'9". it is annoying. but still, if you're even almost-average height then i promise the vast majority of women are gonna be fine with it and it's silly to be hung up on it.

"Ohh that's cool/great" -- instead of "aww you're the perfect height for me"

tinder's a more self-selecting demographic than you probably think. especially since bumble and hinge have popped off, tinder's userbase has seriously whittled down to people looking to hookup or just trolling.

That sucks. Id honestly just tell them youre 6ft. They arent going to your doctors appointment, which is the only place youre really going to get measured.

Consider some thicker shoes, and hairstyle helps too.

you can easily appear to be 6ft, and no one will question otherwise if you say you are.

think about how small a single inch is. Do you think you can guess how many inches any person is?

I had no idea that bumble and hinge were getting popular; always assumed Tinder was the main platform people used for matchmaking. Did bumble improve their platform over the years? I remember using it when it first came out and was underwhelmed by everything.

So what you're telling me is by hook-up standards, 6 feet or taller is ideal and 6 feet or lower by troll standards. No wonder, my conversations on tinder always feel like I'm getting interviewed for a physical or just feel like I'm getting trolled with a whole bunch of presumptuous and invasive questions.

Some truths exist without evidence my friend. Maybe 30-40 years from now there will be a study concluding that from empirical findings, it is indeed possible to grow after the age of 30.

Dude just say youre 60. At 511 youre close enough nobody is going to question it.

To answer your question I doubt youd grow at 30 but Im pretty sure at 24 I grew like an inch or so. Im like 61 now.

Everyone on tinder lies. So bullshit them and tell them you are 6'2. I've had women tell me they are 5'8 (for context I'm 5'9) and they were far shorter than 5'8. Probably closer to 5'3.

All you need to do is have a 6ft aura and then just lie on online stuff like that. In person your aura will cause people to think you are 6 feet even if you are most definitely not.

oh shit dude you're not even short

USA average for a fully grown male is 5'9 and a quarter. at dead on 6'2 I'm only 3 inches over you and I dwarf the shit out of most anybody I come across. If you stood next to me you wouldn't see a huge difference.

Possible cheat solutions:

Look around for Nike air max shoes and check how much height they add. one I looked up added 1.75 inches where a regular shoe typically adds 0.75 inches, so there's an inch. From there if you wanted you could buy 0.50-0.75 inch shoe inserts (make sure to buy a shoe large enough to compensate) putting you at a cheat height of up to 6'0.75, damn near 6'1 and likely no one would notice in public. People that know you possibly will.

Don't waste time with platform shoes claiming to add 3-4 inches or shoe inserts that claim to add 2-3 inches. The platform shoes are too easy to spot and an insert above 0.75 inches is uncomfortable as hell, you won't walk right and may hurt you. Waste of money.

Even though I'm somewhat tall I still use 0,5 inch inserts just for the hell of it, lol. They're comfortable anyway
