You just ain't going to find the level of variation to go from Lucky Star, Fullmetal Alchemist, Gundam, Death Note, Monster, & Cowboy Bebop within American animation, unless you include things like the DCAU & premium stuff like Netflix/Amazon originals. The rest of American animation is either kids stuff or another Simpsons clone, when it comes to adult animation. --- Remember kids, it's only an RPG until someone gets hit with a meteor; Then it's a JRPG! Terrible voice direction for so many actresses, they are made unnaturally screechy and high-pitched because they think it's cute. There are some great anime shows but even a lot of those still feature many of these tropes. Western animation for kids is generally better. But anime has been widely adult-facing for longer than western animation so it has had more opportunities to make things that appeal to adults. --- Talking about video games? it's ok to just disagree with each other on the internet.
