Are you maxing out 401k and IRA? $2k/month is quite a bit for retirement accts, more than the 401k max.

Nah, it's that high because I'm counting employer pension fund, which is separate from work 401k. I'm maxing out my roth, but not close to maxing out standard 401k

Hell no. I would guess I have about $3,000 in fixed expenses at the moment between mortgage, HOA, insurance (health, car, home), utilities.

The mortgage and HOA alone are about $2,250.
