I am a Database Administrator for a County. My main duties are to make sure our digital databases are always working and working optimally. I have to make sure they are always backed up and available and I also control user access to these databases.

My title is medical Liaison. I work in a group home for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Apart from general job responsibilities like personal care and assisting with day to day activities, I monitor and order medications, schedule and bring the guys to appointments, coordinate with doctors, nurses, and the families to ensure appropriate care, and I make sure the team I work with is up to date on any changes.

There's also a good chunk of paperwork involved. Time to actually work on my personal responsibilities has been drastically reduced due to changes from covid so I've been really burned out for a long while.

Uh depends
actual 'work' maybe an hour a day
'work' where I get my game playing interrupted to restart a laptop or reset some childrens passwords? like 15 minutes a day

Most of it is spent in the staff room now playing games on a laptop and talking to people

2-6 hours depending the workload. I deprecated a database today and that's all I did today and that took about 3-4 hours with me slacking off heavy.

It's mostly just the challenging lately. Pay is garbage, the mental health for the guys I support was shaky before covid and has been terrible since with nothing being effective at making it better. Staffing is always low. Staff we do have won't do the bare minimum to keep the guys active or safe. It's just exhausting.

The number of "good days" has been drastically reduced lately. It used to be common but now I'm lucky to have one a month. I find myself unable to let go and relax when I get home.

Aircraft maintenance manager

I attempt to manage labor and resources. Usually just answer emails and plan for larger movements coming down the line. The maintainers do the real work.

Does janitorial work means you'll do building maintenance too?

I don't think so. I haven't even started the training yet. I'm pretty sure I'm just there to clean.
