Oh, you killed Spider-Man? Well, you only killed red costume Spider-Man. Blue costume Spider-Man from another universe is here to take his place.

There are no stakes anymore. A large part of the appeal of action movies, and the primary appeal for me, is the hero putting their life on the line. That's why I'm not a fan of Wolverine. Nothing's on the line when a character literally can't die. It's also why I prefer lone heroes to teams. If you kill Spider-Man, you win. If you kill the Thing, you have Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, and the Human Torch looking for revenge. You're still screwed.

It's cool in that they can keep their promise never to reboot. They can always go and focus on a new universe or pull a character from a different universe. Chris Evans doesn't want to play superheroes anymore? Look! It's alternate universe Captain America back again. Dun-dun-d'dahhh!

But again, there are no stakes anymore. If a bad guy destroys the universe, that's just Universe A. Or it might be Universe B so that the "not-reboot" can claim itself to be Universe A.

Literally nothing you've said has even happened, or seems to be happening. It sounds like you're just basing everything on over-elaborate fan theories

I don't like how many cosmic antics marvel movies have now. I like when the movies are earthly, using humans from our reality.

Talking about video games? it's ok to just disagree with each other on the internet. No point getting hostile or snide about it

There's a main universe that the MCU takes place in. Like how in the comics that main universe is 616 and the characters from that universe are who people have the attachment to and really like. Despite there being a lot of Spider-People, Peter Parker is still the most popular and loved one for example.

The MCU also is an alternate universe as far as the comics are concerned.

If they actually do that, just bring in multiverse people of people that died, then I will be out too. That said need to see where they go first. I seriously hope xmen are of the prime universe and not other universes.

The whole recast black panther with a multiverse guy is complete bs

There were never any stakes in the MCU but I do hate how multiverse crap in everything makes it all feel inconsequential. Especially with the whole "you aren't special there are literally millions of spidermans, captain americas, etc."

Actually there are stakes. The characters that died in our universe are dead for real. Inserting a version of them from another universe doesn't take away from their deaths.
