I haven't played it but seen a lot of footage...I guess technically it's not? Like certainly there are collectibles but I think that isn't the main objective. It's just a "get to the end of the level" platformer.

Not really. There are things to collect - especially in the hub area - but each stage's design and structure is so different from the last that it barely stands out

It kind of is but the collectables are mostly optional. Only need enough for rank 30 to get the cobweb duster to be able to beat the game.

Nah not really. Only time I needed to go out of my way to collect stuff was using the Dosing Rod to collect arrowheads in the hub world for the Cobweb Duster. Took about 15 minutes?
