OG looks like a grizzled pirate and the new one looks like an adventurer, so they both have a look that fits their roles perfectly. I think one of the biggest weaknesses with the designs of the 80s show, is that nearly all of the women look exactly like She-Ra, just wearing different clothes. Catra stands out for not having a completely different face from She-Ra. Her outfit is pretty solid, and the cape is a nice touch New Catra is probably the biggest departure from the OG counterpart, with the only thing similar being their helmet tiara thing. I really like the black arm sleeves that were added into her later design. But from what I understand ~~her heel turn was a little different, in that she was always a heel and tricked the heroes. Instead of becoming an oblivious heel by association.~~ I think I'll go with New Entrapta, mostly for the color palette. Also, fun fact that some may not have noticed in the new show: ~~During the "perfect reality" after Catra opened the portal, and the BFS goes to find Entrapta. Gotta agree with Turbam that the characters and their interactions carry the show, but I also like some of the action well enough for a cartoon that isn't very violent/dark. It kinda reminds me of Avatar TLA in tone with the adventurous feeling, and the fights too in which there's a ton of nonlethal hits/takedowns(unless you're a robot <_<). The plot was better than I expected going in, and I'm a sucker for transformation sequences. Also if you're looking for cartoon recommendations I also watched and caught up with The Owl House recently. It's a funny(imo) show that reminds me of Gravity Falls, but in a more fantastical/weird setting like Adventure Time. New Scorpia is wayyyy better, because there's like nothing nice I can say about the old one. She looks like a filler villain <_< As for Catra I think both are great. New Catra goes through a few design changes throughout the show, and I think my favorite look is the one with the sleeve.
