In the context where a girl was almost attacked, I was saying how our society is getting dystopic. Along the way, I was using determinism to defend the point that some people are "born" that way and that we need better structures of reform. I said something like:
"He probably doesn't even know he's being a creep; he's just a victim to his deterministic fate--unable to control his desires, becoming a prisoner to his sins."

Then the mod permabanned me and replied with:

"Bull. Shit.
You were excusing away the behaviour of men who are sexually predatory towards women with the ever-classical excuses. They know they're being creepy. They are not victims who can't help themselves.
Saying that is incredibly sexist towards men as well, because you're acting like they're idiots and have no agency.
What you were saying is not only false, but damaging and sexist. You will not be allowed to express your type of "support" in our sub ever again."

Not cool right? What can I do to this mod?

I dunno. On one hand it sounds like that mod is an idiot and doesn't understand what mental illness is, but on the other hand you can't really assume that person is mentally ill without evidence, so it comes off as making an excuse

Can someone explain how the behavior was sexist towards men? The mod tries to link unrelated concepts to misdirect the actual context--this was about the individual being born as a creep--nothing to do with the gender.

The mod sounds like the musings of an overweight woman who wishes she could date but doesn't have the looks or confidence so she stews in bitterness on social media all day.

It wasn't sexist towards men. How the mod interpreted it was that it was suggesting men are mentally ill and have no control over their own actions, when you clearly stated that you were talking about a specific group of people

The real issue is that what you said wasn't really worth saying in the first place. You don't have evidence that the dude is mentally ill, so suggesting that "may" have been the case comes off as undermining the situation

Come to think of it, I actually don't care if I come off cringey. I'm not going to be happy being held hostage to other people's opinion of me. I rather be hated for who I am, than to be loved being somebody I'm not.

I'm going to continue making attempts at being "edgy", and hope someone will eventually appreciate me for me.
