From what we've seen so far, it seems likely that the wild spawns and regional dex will match that of DP, rather than Platinum. However, there will be some pokemon outside of the dex that are catchable in Pokemon Hideaways, which seem to be similar to the HGSS safari zone. So it'll still be possible to make your team a bit more well rounded than in DP.

It also seems likely that the game will have all of the first 493 programed in. Very few pokemon, if any, from later gens should be expected though.

Trading and/or battling between SWSH and BDSP are extremely unlikely at this point. Trading between the games will have to be done through Home, and both games will have a significant amount of pokemon that can't be sent to the other

How did you watch Wednesday's direct and come to that conclusion? Half the Pokemon shown in it are Pokemon that were only in Platinum.

You're moving the goalposts. You said all Platinum exclusive Pokemon were in the hideaways. I proved you wrong now you're saying none were shown to be in the wild like that proves anything in a trailer.

i noticed a Houndoom roaming around the new Underground lava areas, and there were battle scenes with Electivire and Magmortar. There were probably more than just that but I dont feel like checking

It's almost definitely going to just have the DP dex. The existence of the hideaways heavily indicate that.

Houndoom was shown in a Hideaway. Togekiss, Yanmega, Dusknoir, Leafeon, Glaceon and Togepi were shown in battle. Scizor, Alteria, Glaceon again, and Gallade were shown in Contests, and Tangrowth was shown following the player.

Ok. But I know you're not too stupid to understand how I came to my conclusion. The trailer said that some pokemon could only be found there while it was focusing on Houndoom, a platinum dex only pokemon.
