There are way too many people confused about the watch order when they're literally numbered. Watch one, then two, then three, then three + one which equals four.

To your topic question, the first movie is basically a retelling of the first six episodes or so, the second movie goes off in its own direction and is generally liked, the third movie is a giant dumpster fire that everybody hates, and I haven't seen the fourth movie yet so I can't tell you how it ends.
