The Taliban has learned that attacking the US means decades of war and territorial losses.

They won't attack us again.

They might try to attack us. I mean, they hate us and our way of life. But also, remember that the mujahideen are trying to start a holy war.

No, the better thing for us to do would be to focus on ourselves, and if the Taliban get too big for their britches again we send some laser guided Act-Right into the bedrooms of their leadership.

As far as I know, the taliban are afraid of US drones, so much so they won't leave their underground tunnel system

I don't think the taliban wants to pick a fight with the US given how little tech/ combat vehicles they have.

I remember years ago reading how ISIS was working with Mexican cartels. That is scary for us if stuff like that keeps happening.

Otherwise, not so much scared, it doesn't affect me over here. But I feel very sad for the children over there.

They need to be exterminated completely - but killing an idea is almost impossible, so I don't see that happening.

The big worry is that it'll become a hotbed for Islamic extremism that'll result in more terrorist attacks in Europe and the surrounding nations.

No the people of Afghanistan are content. There hasn't been any violence since they've gotten back in power we should have never meddled with them in the first place. Let them live how they want to live and lets focus on fixing our country.

Taliban will still probably be a very low threat to the US, especially now given we probably wont have troops over there

Their influence over neighboring nations, and Chinas supposed diplomacy with them on the other hand is concerning

20 years of US interference and the Taliban regains control after one week. I'm pretty sure if the citizens where that "liberated" and on code it wouldn't have been that easy for the original regime to come back in power. Literally one week.

Almost as if having an ineffective military makes it really easy for you to be invaded and occupied. This isn't the movies, very rarely are civilians going to "gather up arms and take it to the invaders". There's a reason why roads are blocked in Kabul, and a ton of cars are just abandoned in the roads, and it's not because "They are content".
