Normally dislike Roguelikes but Bastion is one of my fav games on the 360 and I've heard a lot of people I know rave about it, so I pulled the trigger last night on the X1. Didn't stop for 7 hours. Just played a few more and got in to Elysium with the Rail on the run where I fought Alecto for the first time in place of Meg. Looking foward to chipping away at the story and maxing out pretty much everything.

Hadn't played Transistor or Pyre but I can see the clear evolution of mechanics, music, voice work, etc straight from Bastion. Fucking love it.

I almost stopped when my first major streak died. But once you get over that and realize that it was going to die eventually no matter what once you start getting to higher heat levels, the game gets even more fun.

Did you at least reach the epilogue? If not, get back in there!

that attempt I mentioned very nearly turned into my first successful escape at 9 escape attempts. Had hades in phase 2 (which I hope is the last phase >_>) and down to like 10% when I got too greedy.

For now Ive unlocked Eris for the rail, Chiron for the bow, and Nemesis for the sword. Need moar blood!
So turns out I misremembered a little about that Rail build. The 3 shot special is not combinable with the 300% damage one, so on my first successful run, I had the 3 shot with the one that makes the enemies move slower and take 30% more damage. Still a good build though.

Also, I just did my 6th successful run, this time with the Spear. Now I just need to win with the bow to beat it with each weapon. I've gotten a lot better against Hades by playing more defensively and taking my time.
