Recruiter A: But um, you have 800 students. How can one person do that? Surely you have help?
Like 120 new kids each year, you can do it in about an hour
Recruiter A: I'm sorry but I think you might be overestimating just how many accounts you create

Recruiter B: I understand that you're a one man show but the benefits of working in a team would be amazing for you.

Recruiter B: Of course just like any IT j-

Recruiter B: Which obviously is a benefit but surely you can how being exposed to new technology can enhance your IT skills
I agree completely. But not interested in any position with on call
Recruiter B: You do realize every IT position will require on call support?
Uh, I just said the current job I have doesn't need it

Recruiter C: May I ask why you have a gap in your resume?

Recruiter: C for the months of December and January
... Christmas? Most places have a hiring freeze then
Recruiter C: And what projects did you do during that time? How did you upskill?
I took two months because I was being woken up multiple times a week at hours between 1am and 4am from on call and hadn't taken holidays in nearly a year
Recruiter C: I'm sorry but the position isn't going to be suited for you. We require someone who understands the need to upskill and stay fresh

Hi, I'm a headhunter, and Recruiters don't talk like that. At least not good ones.

As an example, no Recruiter would tell a candidate on the phone "I'm sorry, you have a 2 month gap in your resume, we require someone who understands they need to upskill and stay fresh"

So in other words, these aren't real conversations.

A Recruiter would try to get you off the phone "Okay awesome, I'll send you an email and we can set up a time to talk further" and then just hang up and go about their business with never talking to you again.

You're sitting here saying that Recruiters are literally insulting you on the phone, which is just...yeah. No.

But sure!
