I'd say 5-6

That way everyone gets at least 2-3 slices (assuming it's a radial cut with 8 slices per pizza, square cut would be better for large groups)

pizzas good for a couple days, you'll have leftovers and you can give them out to family.

So 32 slices for 20 people if you go with 4, guarantees 8 people only get one single slice. I think you plan on 3+ per person and go with 8 at least, people will take leftovers if need be.

I'd assume everyone is capable of eating half a pizza assuming that nothing is being served with it. And with pizza it's not like it'll be hard to get rid of leftovers if everyone doesn't each eat a half.

Depending on the situation, anywhere from 5 to 20. Though usually more towards the lower end.

I disagree here. Cheese and maybe pepperoni is always the best and safest way to go. You don't wanna order a hawaiian and veggie pizza and have none of it eaten.

That's moreso if you're not sure what folks actually like. If you know your friends like those kinda toppings, then it's no problem.

You'd be surprised. You want to order a vegetarian option as you don't want that couple non-meat eaters to complain and feel left out because they refuse to eat cheese pizza. 1 Hawaiian is more than enough to cover 20 people as there are usually 1 or 2 people that will be glad for the option since they will eat it more than anyone else.

Worst case scenario your down 2 pizzas that no one ate. Scrape the toppings off and eat it as a cheese pizza.

Always go over instead of under. Obviously depends on the pizza size (like if its sheet pizza or something) but average chain you probably want 7 or 8. But also depends on who the people are and if there is going to be a fair bit of other food, chips whatever.

I'd agree with 8 or 10. It's better to have too much. This way you avoid the awkward situation where there's like half a pizza left and a few people want more, but they don't want to be the ones that finish the pizza.
I always think it's better to have leftovers rather than to run out of food. Especially something like pizza which is easy leftover.
