For another thing, I instantly saw people ignoring the rules. I would go get grocery pick-up to avoid going in the store and I would see dozens of people going inside. I saw groups of people riding bikes in my neighborhood when the city literally told us to stay in unless youre going to get groceries or if you work at a necessary place. Then there were the crowds of monosyllabic idiots who proudly said it was a hoax or refused to wear a mask. Then the store employees couldnt tell people to wear a mask. They will throw you out if you dont have a shirt or shoes, but they wont throw you out for not wearing a mask during a global pandemic. Our leadership in DC handled it horribly. Trump called it a hoax until he got it and then said that it was no worse than a common cold. Then he spent the rest of his time fighting the results of the election and playing golf. Biden is doing a pretty pathetic job right now, but at least he is trying to handle the virus right.
