Some of you may know that I used to make games and have talked about my current projects here... much to the annoyance of some users since I didn't get much tangible done
...side note, I'm hella-curious which of my projects anyone here remembers ... Anyways: I use GameMaker Studio and have for decades... but Studio, today, has switched to a Subscription model. I would have to pay to continue making games. This is putting me in a position where I either have to double-down and actually commit to productivity and actually produce something on a schedule so I don't get ass-plowed by subscription costs... ... or quit. Well, quit Studio... I could learn something new like Godot or Unity or something, but that's besides the point ... I'm old and don't do new things well so I'm not sure if I should take this as a sign to just quit my dreams, or quit all my other hobbies to actually get shit done --- "Salt cures Everything!" hey, wasn't there a game like Snake (nibbles) but each of your segments is a turret and it's actually a turret defense game?
