The difference here is liver disease just physically affects the one person. Them allowing Covid to continue mutating and spreading is affecting thousands of others. No sympathy for them.

My point is that death is still sad. The person is still dead, The family still suffers, the doctors and nurses who snuck time, effort and resources into keeping them alive still happened.

I also have an extra fuck you to anti-vaxxers; when my late gf was in the hospital for her last 20 days of life, no one could really visit her because of COVID restrictions. Shit that should have been gone (because this was in fucking February) if we treated it how it was supposed to be treated. But no, we have to drag our feet because of the lowest denominators refuse to follow easy protocols.
