Video games. They just can't figure them out lol. Toys? Music? TV? Movies? Cartoons? They can do all of that but they don't "get" video games. That's why they license out their stuff to others. Kinda funny they can't do it themselves

I feel like games are at least on their radar, when something like Infinity War can make one or two billion during its entire run, while GTAV can make a billion within a few days and continues being on monthly top ten lists of games sold.

They have marvel and star wars now, yea they've released some games since the buyout but it takes time. EA still has a madden contract, not everything makes sense.

Disney makes money off screen time not content
Video games are short term investments too compared to the kinds of IPs they like to deal with. Disney charges so much for licensing fees that it's impossible to make a profit off of Disney games. Aladdin was one of the top ten selling games on the Sega Genesis and the only thing Sega got out of it was that people actually bought Genesis consoles to be able to play the game.
