Poutine Tacos, deep fried pineapple, cinnamon bun bacon cheese curds? Yum.

They always got some really good sounding and death-inducing food. I'll always go with a group of friends so we can share it amongst ourselves. Maximize the variety while minimizing our caloric intake for the month lol.

Here's my bucket list when I go next week:

Cinnamon Roll and Bacon Cheese Curds

Fresh squeaky cheese curds are dipped in a sweet beer batter laced with crispy bacon, dredged in flour, cinnamon, and powdered sugar, then deep fried and rolled in more cinnamon sugar. Drizzled with rich cream cheese frosting and top with bacon crumbles.

Garlic Parm Quesadilla

PB&J Bacon Dog

A bowl filled with BBQ pulled pork, sidewinder fries, Ale House cheese sauce, bacon bits, and crispy topping - YUM!

Street Corn Tots

Tater tots topped with grilled corn that is tossed with mayo, sour cream, lime juice, and spices.

Ultimate Breakfast Quesadilla

It's a quesadilla with all your favorite breakfast items in it from scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, hash browns, lots of cheese and topped with sausage gravy.

White Cheddar Bratwurst

Bite into a white cheddar bratwurst.

Chicken Bacon Ranch Cheese Curd Taco

A flour tortilla layered with grilled chicken, bacon and lightly battered ranch-flavored cheese curds is all fried together until the shell is crispy and golden. Topped with fresh cut iceberg lettuce and ranch dressing.

Food of course isn't the only attraction. There's an Expo Center with vendors from around the state (including a few that deal in retro gaming). Animal shows of course (it is a fair after all). A ride area (though these are mostly for kids and teens). And lots of live music and places to drink.

Though, to quickly go back to food, you should absolutely try a cream puff. They're the most famous thing about the fair. They're monstrous in size and really really tasty.

On a side note, I teach in rural WI, and many of my students live on farms. Some of them will be at the fair showing off their livestock. I'm excited to see them, it's so cool learning about their lives after growing up in the suburbs and going to college in the city of Milwaukee.

Yea, they have an exotic food stand. My stepsister tried a literal ants on a log once. She is much braver than I. Luckily this place is way out of the way of the main street with all the good stuff, so I don't even have to think about it.

Nope, you're absolutely right.

I mean, it's puff pastry dusted with powdered sugar, so not as dense as a bun. Usually people will break off pieces of the top half and scoop the cream to eat it.

Wisconsin is the Dairy State, so we gotta own up to it with all the milk, whipped cream, and cheese we can.
