I have a save file for this game that I haven't touched in over 2 years on my Switch. I think I had just beaten a "ghost ship" and maybe I was 1/3 or 1/2 through the game. I really want to get back to it!

However, I hate the chore of trying to remember the story and plot. I think one of my main party members turned into a dragon or something and flew away. Oh, and I recently got that pirate girl to be in my party but I don't remember using her much.

The "Wacky anime hijinks" music afterwards makes this so cringey.

Certain abilities can change the range. Like, "better odds of critical success, but also of failure" or "critical success and failure plummet in likelihood but normal positive outcomes go up dramatically" and all. Really helpful for the card game skill.

In retrospect, I borderline hated Vesperia. Almost every single character is an unlikable piece of shit. The story is so full of JRPG techno-babble that it's impossible to follow (even by Tales standards). And the soundtrack was one of the most forgettable in the entire series, and some of Sakuraba's worst work in his career IMO.

100% with ya on that. I can loosely remember the basic story of all the Tales games I've played. But Vesperia, nope. All I remember is something about looking for Aer Krenas or whatever the fuck they're called, and a bunch of guilds mad at each other for some reason.
