i just look at it more as like a platinum hack n slash game than i look at it as an MGS game. and it's very good at that.

also, kojima didn't fuck up MGSV, Konami did. Poor Kojima.

Yeah, the story was basically non existent. I didn't care so much because the gameplay is so good.

I don't remember grinding anything. I just remember playing straight through the game and enjoying my experience. I've seen lots of videos of people using all sorts of different stealth toys. It seems like the game can play however you want it to.

I'm currently replaying MGSV (here and there) and there really isn't any grind if you're just doing the missions. Doing a no kill run and it's a blast.

And even the outposts are a ton of fun to take out. There's a shit ton of ways to go about everything. It's a true sandbox experience, best stealth gameplay ever imo.

You can just use them because they're fun to use :shrug:

If you want to go through the whole game guns blazing or whatever that's up to you. Or you wanna just do CQC. But playing around with all the tools makes the game more fun.

I like how soldiers learn and improve as you progress depending on your play style.

Take on missions, outposts, etc at night, they'll start wearing night vision goggles.

Like to go in and use tranq weapons instead of killing, they'll wear helmets and armor.

Go in guns blazing and they'll be decked out in full body armor that requires heavy weapons or explosives.

That's the beauty of open design though.

Granted, the open worlds were unnecessary since they were too huge and barren, but I loved the sheer amount of options for infiltrating enemy bases. Player freedom, baby.

Yeah initial run was just a grade 2 of the basic assault rifle amd tranq guns and either sniper rifle or rocket launcher. After I beat the game I startes messing around with other stuff and had a lot of fun. This entry really did cardboard box use well.
