There is a separate world that lets people who have access to it have some extra powers

A sizable portion of the world has access to it and it's kind of an open secret

Some people use the powers to make entertainment that is based around real people's lives

The story centers around a group of people, with some who know they are being watched and are the inspiration for stuffs while others in the group are oblivious

That's the rough outline and I'm open to major changes

I'll focus on this part, specifically on some how to access candidates:

• You must be able to lucid dream and keep correct track of the time on a classical clock from first glance, then looking away, then looking back at it, if the position of the hands are where they should be then you're in.
• You must hum some 2 or 3 tones at a certain frequency which will make some peculiar powder form patterns on a surface as it vibrates *queue some cool activation effect*
• You must replicate, during a span of 5 minutes, from your own perspective, a "scene" from the day before. Like trying to match the time you got out of the house, where you walked from and to, who you waved to, etc.

It is a cool idea. Even if someone else jacks it, they probably wont do it quite the same as you would :)
