Cant find good data or info online

some UK researchers have recently found that the Pfizer vaccine may be more effective if you get the second shot at 6 weeks rather than 3 weeks. so in Australia they are making all second shots @ 6 weeks

but the cdc still says 3 weeks

who is true

Considering the low cases in Australia it seems like a good idea to wait. The US is so overrun they want people vaccinated ASAP. And they have an infinite supply of vaccines, unlike other countries.

I read the same thing. The CDC is going to be slow to adjust, if at all.

You mean wait for the first shot or second shot? Im already booked for the first shot since I dont want to risk being unvaccinated any longer than I have to

Australia is quite low on supply for Pfizer. So extending out the window will allow more people to get their first dose. The UK study is probably just more of a net benefit and gives them a reason to point to that doesn't make them look like they fucked up the rollout.

i cant even book the first shot (theres like 3 dates available in oct/nov) cos the websight you book through wont show 2022 calendar and there are no 2021 spots available for second shot. so i can only select a date for the first shot but not the second. and because of that i cant book either shot.

They book you for your second shot when you get your first yes, but can change or cancel at any time without any notice. I was booked for October for my second shot, they cancelled it because of the change in policy switching from 16 weeks to 8, which is now down to 4. I talked to a local pharmacy who gave me my second shot yesterday.

Your best bet Modlogic is to call whatever number is your local health care number and ask to speak to someone who can schedule an appointment for you, letting them know the issues you've been having.
