For a while there it wasn't that way but I see more and more how people are jacking up the prices on hardware just to sell it a certain way. Developers have continuously gotten lazier too because of it amongst other things. The hardware being the least of those issues. It's more just development has become lazy because everyone is at the mercy of the same things and same corporations.
