So how do I know the covid vaccine I was injected with works and isn't just some old sample that has been sitting in a fridge or from a defective batch. And is it safe to get multiple covid vaccines in case the first vaccine was ineffective?

Are you fat or unhealthy? Fitter people with better immune systems generally have larger reactions

In any case, you can just go get an anti body test to see if you have the antibodies from the vaccination

I'm pretty fit and only had fatigue from the first shot.

If you get it from moderna or pfizer, its up to 94% effective (dunno about delta) and greatly reduces risk of hospitilization and death. You get two shots with those two, with the second shot being 3-4 weeks after the first.

You'll know for sure during tbe second shot with mild flu symptoms.

Its not fully protective until 2 weeks after the second shot.
